Private Collection: Growler, Henry McKenna Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This growler or half gallon jug once contained 86 proof Henry McKenna Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This growler of whiskey was originally purchased in the LaSalle/Peru area of Illinois and given as a gift sometimebetween 1963 and 1968. It was re-gifted back to the original purchaser within that same time frame who took it to Rockford, Michigan. 

Somewhere along the way the whiskey was consumed. 

The empty growler was then taken when the family who owned it moved to Des Moines, Iowa in the mid 1970's. Where it stayed until one of the original owners moved to NW Iowa and gave it to her daughter. 

The empty growler is now in the private collection of its 3rd owner in NW Iowa.
