Sioux City Fire Rescue: Fire Trucks and other Vehicles

Since its beginnings as a volunteer to its evolution to a full time paid professional fire department Sioux City's department has owned and used several different types of fire trucks and vehicles.

Here are the trucks it had in its inventory  in 2008:
Station #1: 2006 Rosenbauer
Station #3: 2001 E-One, on International chasis.
Station #4: 2006 Rosenbauer
Station #5: 2006 Rosenbauer
Station #6: 2006 Rosenbauer
Station #7: 2001 E-One, on International chasis.
Station #8: 2001 E-One, on International chasis.

Here are photos of fire trucks and a chief's car from the past. These vehicles were either used by Sioux City or are similar to vehicles that were from the fire department's past. Today more modern and efficient trucks are other types of vehicles are used when responding to a call:





















Note: There was no Old Lakeport Road fire Department and Bob Knowler was not a Sioux City fire Chief. Bob is the owner of the fire vehicles he donated to the museum.
