This vintage or antique water can is zinc alloy coated to galvanize the metal and protect it from corrosion. This water can holds 10 quarts of water. This style of water can had a sprinkler head that threaded on. It could be used with or without the sprinkler when watering plants. These types of water cans are still used today. It is unknown when this one was manufactured. This water can is no longer used to water plants. It is used as a planter for annual plants and flowers every spring and summer.
