Private Collection: Kiwi Shoe Server Kit

Kiwi Shoe Polish Company produced shoe server or shoe polish kits for use by private consumers. They were produced from the 1940's to the 1970's. The box was made of solid oak with dove tail joints and brass hardware. The originally included two 100% horse hair brushes, two dauber brushes, 3 polishing cloths, a can of black shoe polish and brown shoe polish. The wood handle of the box was at an angle allowing the user to put their shoe on it making it easier to use.

This kit was manufactured in the 1950's which is when it was purchased by the original owner. The only surviving original part of the kit is the box and one horse hair brush. The kit is still being used by its current owner. It has a travel shoe polish kit inside of it, ready for use. This Kiwi Shoe Server Kit is now in the private collection of its current owner in NW Iowa.
