Union Pacific Railroad Museum: Original Rail from Transcontinental Route

Located in downtown Council Bluffs, Iowa within the former Carnegie Free Public Library building is the Union Pacific Railroad Museum. After serving as a library for over 95 years the public library relocated and the building was renovated into the museum and has served as such since May 10, 2003, which was the 134th anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad.
