Mitchell, SD: Carnegie Resource Center, Oscar Howe exhibit

In the Mitchell, South Dakota Carnegie Resource Center is a permanent collection of art and artifacts by Oscar Howe. Oscar Howe was a famous Yanktonai Nakota Sioux artist. In 1940 he painted the the mural "Sun and Rain Clouds Over Hills in the dome of the Carnegie Library building in Mitchell. From 1949 to 1971 Oscar designed the mural made of corn on the Mitchell Corn Palace.
