Carnegie Libraries: Sioux City, Iowa: Leeds Neighborhood

With a grant of $85,000 awarded on April 8, 1911 the second Carnegie Library was built in the Leeds neighborhood of Sioux City, Iowa. Today the building serves as an American Legion Hall.

The aircraft division of Kari Keen Manufacturing built about 60 airplanes. Of that number only 3 are known to still exist today. One is in the new Sioux City Public Museum located in downtown Sioux City, Iowa. Another is in Fairfield, Iowa. The 3rd is in Canada.
