Private Collection: California Raisin

         Originally meant as just a creation for a 1987 commercial for the California Raisin Advisory Board. The commercial became widely popular and the Singing and dancing rhythm and blues group the California Raisins were born. They enjoyed wide success with remakes of hits such as Marvin Gaye's 1968 classic hit I Heard it Through the Grapevine. The California Raisin merchandise sold nation wide.

         This piece was sold by the fast food chain Hardees and is currently in the private collection of its owner in NW Iowa.
