ca. 1947 John Deere Model M: Introduction
On permanent display at a clothing retailer in Ankeny, Iowa are two full size ca. 1947 John Deere Model M tractor's. One is complete and looks like it is ready to enter a field with the plow attached to it. The other a Model M displayed as a full size 3-dimensional "exploded" tractor showing the internal workings and parts that make the tractor what it is and portrays how the tractor operates. On the wall are exploded parts diagrams with each component of the Model M listed and information about the tractor.
