Siouxland Freedom Park: Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Panel 2E

At the new Siouxland Freedom Park in South Sioux City, Nebraska is the newly installed permanent half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It includes 58,272 names of those who died in the Vietnam War between 1959 and 1975. There are still a dozen names that need to be added. This memorial is a a tribute to those who died there, to those who risked dyeing there and to their families.

The Wall as it is often referred to is made up of panels. They number 1W to 70W and 1E to 70E. The names on each panel are in order of when the members of the U.S. Armed Forces died during the Vietnam War. The years 1959 and 1975 on The Wall indicated when the U.S. entered the war and when the U.S. officially left Vietnam.
