Siouxland Freedom Park: Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Intro. and Info.

At the new Siouxland Freedom Park in South Sioux City, Nebraska is the newly installed permanent half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It includes 58,272 names of those who died in the Vietnam War between 1959 and 1975. There are still a dozen names that need to be added. This memorial is a a tribute to those who died there, to those who risked dyeing there and to their families.

The park is still under construction but once completed it will include an interpretive center, amphitheater, family-friendly leisure space and John Douangdara Memorial War Dog Park.
