Government Corner

In downtown Sioux City at the intersection of 6th and Douglas Streets is Government Corner. It is so named because of the concentration of government buildings at the site.

On the NW corner is the Police and Fire Department Headquarters building. Located on the SW corner is the United States Federal Courthouse. The SE corner has a plaque of the Bill of Rights and a public parking lot. Just off of the parking lot is the main branch of the Sioux City Public Library. Across from the Bill of Rights plaque on the NE corner is Sioux City City Hall. Just north of city hall is the Woodbury County Courthouse.
