This blog is about historical and cultural sites, places and events all over the world visited by bicycle or that could be visited by bicycle. It is to show that a motor vehicle does not always have to be used and it is often better to visit these places by bicycle.

Reenactment of the burial of Sgt Charles Floyd, 08/17/2019
This is the reenactment ceremony of the burial of Sgt. Charles Floyd. Sgt Floyd was the only white man to die on the Lewis ad Clark Corps of Discovery expedition. He was buried on Floyd's Bluff and had to be reburied 3 additional times, the last being in the late 1890's. The monument was complete in the very early 1900's. The reenactment ceremony has taken place at the Floyd Monument for at least the past 30 years.
