This series is about the exhibits at the Sioux City Public Museum and the Woodbury County Courthouse 100th anniversary celebration.
In 2018 the Woodbury County Courthouse building celebrated 100 years.
Construction began in 1916 and the building opened in 1918. The courthouse is Prairie School Architecture in design. It was designed by William L Steele, William G. Purcell and George G. Elmslie. Various artists were commissioned to create the beautiful murals and sculptures that adorn the building.
One such artist was Alfonso Iannelli.
As part of the celebration of the courthouse anniversary a temporary exhibit is on display at the Sioux City Public Museum about Alfonso and Margaret Iannelli.
