In 2004 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery expedition the Discovery Dogs were designed and put on public display. After the anniversary they were auctioned off to whom ever wished to purchase one. Some ended up in private collections while others were kept on public display around the greater Siouxland area. This Discovery Dog is on public display in Dakota City, Nebraska.
