Though she no longer serves from within the water she still proudly serves the tri-state area of Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota with her crew of employees and volunteers at "her controls" with a friendly welcome to anyone who stops by for a visit.
In 2014 the M.V. Sergeant Floyd celebrated her 25th anniversary as the welcome center and museum.
She is never able to float in the water again.
