Haddock Heritage

In 2008 the first article about George Haddock was published on this blog:
Sioux City History & Culture by Bicycle Part 23: George C. Haddock Memorial Marker

In 2009 another was published:
Sioux City History and Culture by Bicycle Part 144; Notable People Part 16; Reverend George Haddock

Once the new Sioux City Public Museum opened in 2011 more about George Haddock was put on display in the permanent exhibit gallery. Another article was published in 2012:
REVEREND GEORGE C. HADDOCK

In 2013 during the construction of the new Sioux City Hard Rock Hotel and Casino the Haddock marker was removed from its place near the intersection of 4th and Water Streets and place at the time in temporary storage at the Sioux City Public Museum. Shortly after it was cleaned and placed on display in the temporary exhibit gallery:
Haddock Memorial Tablet

Recently it was decided the original Haddock marker would become part of the Sioux City Public Museum's permanent collection and remain on display with the other George C. Haddock artifacts:

A local Sioux City church has stated they will pay for a new marker to be put in place of the original near where Haddock was murdered.
