This blog is about historical and cultural sites, places and events all over the world visited by bicycle or that could be visited by bicycle. It is to show that a motor vehicle does not always have to be used and it is often better to visit these places by bicycle.

Martin Field
Located just west of South Sioux City, Nebraska is Martin Air Field. It serves pilots of small propeller air craft. It is a privately owned air field for public use. The most unique thing about Martin Field is the plane on display near the front entrance. On display like a museum piece is an A-7D Corsair the 185th Fighter Wing of the Iowa Air National Guard used to use. Today the 185th is an Air Refueling Wing, ARW. When this blog author was there to photograph the Corsair he had the fortunate chance to photograph a plane coming in for a landing.
