Delaware County Courthouse
Located in downtown Manchester, Iowa is the historic Delaware County Courthouse. construction on this beautiful structure started in 1894 and was complete in 1896 at a cost of $36,860, plus an additional $800 for plumbing. The main structure measures 76 feet wide by 100 feet long. The tower and steeple on the northeast corner is 135 feet high. The bell and clock in the tower were bought and paid for in 1895 by approximately 700 local citizens.
